2025 was the tenth year where I posted my “year in books”. I figured I would take the opportunity to data nerd on the 10-year corpus.
Here’s the 309 books I read (well, 308… I had to drop one to make a nice square) over the last 10 years. There are a lot of good books in there. I have fallen in love with quite a few authors along this journey.
Here is a look at genres. I am definitely reading more fiction. It looks it has been on a pretty steady uptick.
What about pace? Its a bit noisy, but across the 10 years it increased by about 135% (from ~18 to 43 pages per day). 🤓
Below is a neat view. This shows both the year over year progression, but also the seasonality. Not much of a shocker, but summertime and the holidays are good times for reading.
